# Lines and veils
- Safety tools for tabletop campaigns and sessions.
- Per [[Vampire- The Masquerade - Core Rulebook|Vampire: The Masquerade (Core Rulebook)]], this was originally described by Ron Edwards' book *Sex and Sorcery*.
- **Lines** means it is agreed to not come up in a campaign or session.
- **Veils** means alluded to, but happens "off-screen" (i.e. [[fade to black]]…)
