# Using the right tool for the job #seed The goal is not to turn one tool into a massive multi-tool… but leveraging the advantages of the right tool for the job. In my own application, it means purposely not outright replacing a calendar with [[Obsidian]] just because it has [[Obsidian Community Plugins SOP#Calendar|a plugin]]. It doesn’t matter how cool the new shiny thing is… stay practical. This also applies to my address book, calendar, and [[OmniFocus|task manager]].
