# X-Card Allows for responsive real-time removal of content or change of narrative path from a tabletop game session. If a player or gamemaster feels uncomfortable, they tap the X-Card at the table (or show it digitally, depending on the VTT). Play will pause without judgement or question. The gamemaster should check in with their players and make sure everyone is okay ([[People before narrative]]), with a judgement call whether that's best done at the table, or calling a break and connecting one-on-one with the player. The intent is that the group can rewind and replay the scene, removing the content that caused issue, or that the content gets skipped over entirely. Content boundaries don't have to be discussed right then at the table or as a one-on-one, but should be discussed in some capacity so that [[Safety Tools]] for the campaign can be updated. This does not mean expecting a player to go into detail (respecting a person's boundaries and avoiding trauma), but at whatever level is comfortable.
