## Notes
- [[Leonard Draushum]] goes tracking with [[Elandor Falconmoon]].
- They find an area with fresh symbols in blood, maybe a day old. Both try drawing the symbols.
- The surrounding tracks seem like monster prints. Human footprints are there… and then gone. Teleporting?
- Zero casualties seems suspicious to [[Elandor Falconmoon]]. Was the attack a decoy?
- [[Shava]] bumps into [[Big Boggins]].
- [[Big Boggins]] heard about the adventurers fighting the rat king and wants to know more…
- He writes in a small palm-sized forest green book.
- Has run into cultists everywhere. They make for good stories.
- He has been to Neverwinter before, and all around the Sword Coast.
- [[Lenore Sigyn]] tries to learn more about the Cult
- Overhears the [[Shava]] conversation.
- [[Lucette Waterpike]] goes back upstairs
- [[Eadyan Falconmoon]] talks to people outside.
- [[Gruda Blessedblade]] is boisteriously chatting to teens, embarrassing them.
- Talks with [[Big Boggins]]
- Cult: [[Ashmadai]]. Cultists of devils, very secretive. Met them in [[Neverwinter]]. He escaped (but how?)
- [[Cult of the Dragon]] more active up north than south. Raiding caravans.
- [[Leonard Draushum]] arrives back, sees [[Linan Swift]], then goes to talk with [[Langdedrosa Cyanwrath]]. Shows the scribbles, but hard to tell what they are. May need to see them himself.
- [[Astrid Dawngaze]] goes to speak with [[Marisa]].
- She's pretty clearly freaked out, and disgusted at the whole ordeal. (…fair.)
- She has no explanation as to why she was attacked.
- Everyone comes back together to go investigate the blood symbol.
- [[Elandor Falconmoon]] shows them his sketch of the symbol.
- The party has no idea what it is from the drawing.
- The party heads out. Lenore casts Blessing of the Trickster on Astrid without her knowing. Again.
- We get to the spot with the symbols.
- Circular stone area.
- We suck at drawing skill checks apparently.
- But [[Shava]] knows a tiny little bit about this fiendish circle. Looks like the magic circle spell. Keeps a creature (devil) within an area.
- Leonard says [[Old Mo]]'s typical go-to is talking about doom and imposters among us. The rats was a specific thing. Wants to go see Old Mo's place.
- We head to [[Old Mo's shack]].
- Astrid climbs the rickety stairs to knock on the door frame. The floorboards are thin like they may snap.
- He's not there, and we all walk in.
- One room house, very old.
- One wall appears covered in writing, but mostly in Common gibberish.
- Huxley looks for any names he knows (townies or party), or death/undead, or dragons/fiends.
- Sees an old drawing of the rest of the party and the fort on fire with a dragon in the sky. Huxley takes the picture and puts it in his notebook.
- Leonard looks for something secret (DM'd it to DM).
- Finds a drawing of a drawing of a Leo as a monster, with question marks. Old Mo has written he is not to be trusted…
- Shava looks for black dragonborn cults or the party itself.
- Finds a sketch of a black dragonborn (but not one he's seen before).
- Carved into the wood is "[[Odonth Darkwrath|Black Death]]".
- Appears to be connected to the sketch that Huxley found.
- Also finds a drawing of [[Langdedrosa Cyanwrath]]. "Death" is written under it, connected to [[Odonth Darkwrath|Black Death]].
- A self drawing of Old Mo connected to the black dragonborn figure, written "death" under it.
- Astrid looks for recognizable names, dragons, or the party.
- Different old drawings of different party members, with "lies, all lies" written under them.
- Lenore looks for %%any mention of an elf (Vartan), her real self (Kassandra or aasimars in general), her guardian, or the prophecy.%%
- %%There's a sketch of what looks like Vartan, but he is heavily wounded and seems to be chained to a pole.%%
- %%Underneath the picture of the burning monastery (she would recognize this as her old home with the Dragonborns) there is a drawing of Kassandra.%%
- %%And there is a snippet phrase of part of the prophecy that Lenore knows.%%
- They talk about what they've found.
- All they know is "Black Death" is a contagious deadly disease. Doesn't seem likely.
- Leonard recalls a fable about a warrior known as Black Death. A very powerful being.
- Sketch quality varies wildly.
- The ink and parchment appears old, well before we arrived. It appears years old.
- Lenore and Astrid look for any mention of Bahamut.
- No signs of Bahamut.
- No signs of personal objects at all either… huh.
- Lenore pockets four pages, but Huxley notices her pocket it.
- Two pages have figures on it.
- One page shows flames.
- One has writing scribbled on it.
- Leonard tears the poster down and tears it up.
- Lenore has additional insight as she looks around the room:
- %%You realize based on training you've had that Mo uses this house like a fake house. It's filled to look like he lives there but based on context clues he doesn't actually.%%
- %%Which is probably why he's so dirty. He doesn't live in the house itself.%%
