Is he safe? %% ## Notes - Landedrosa and Odonth talk to each other… the inevitable fight - Odonth goes immediately on the offensive against Langdedrosa. - Langededrosa embues his spear with power before attacking. - Langdedrosa gets a smite in against Odonth. - Odonth overpowers Langdedrosa, severely wounded. Langdedrosa is frightened and prone, but gets a really good hit in. - Langdedrosa gets up, casts a spell of protection, and breathes lightning at his brother. Odonth brute forces his way through the damage. (Indomitable… ability to choose to succeed a failed saving throw.) - Odonth hits him once with his blade, and Langdedrosa drops to the ground. Odonth isn't even bloodied. Langdedrosa is breathing. - During the fight… - Leonard just watches. - Huxley watches. - Shava waits to see if Langdedrosa is okay… he's still breathing, and watches to make sure it stays that way. - Lenore kneels down and talk to Shava, convincing her they're looking for her. They should hide. They decide to head downstairs to the cellars to hide. - While they talk, Lenore secretly casts Blessing of the Trickster on Shava. - Astrid watches the fight, making sure Odonth fights honourably. - Odonth inspects his brother. Hayla walks behind him, silently. - Hayla smiles, a bright and almost childish smile. "This will work." - Odonth: "Really?" … "If anything goes wrong on this, I will have your head." - Hayla reaches down with the book. The liquid falls down on him and sinks into the skin. - She touches Langdedrosa… Greater Thrall - And with that, Odonth says he found most of what he's looking for… and packs up to leave. - The Blackhands pick up Langdedrosa and carry him off. - Hayla turns her head unnaturally far, past Astrid, Leonard, and Huxley… and looks down… before leaving. - The dragon flies and circles, looking down at Astrid, Leonard, and Huxley - They realize Shava and Lenore aren't there - Astrid says they should head inside, but they should find Eadyan first… - Shava and Lenore head to the cellar - We happen towards the secret exit… - And we spot someone casually walking our direction from the tunnel. They instantly seem instantly suspicious. - Lady, conspicuous hat, two short swords, crossbow… - The assassin ([[Snow]]) goes immediately for Shava, stabbing her with her short swords… and immediately downs Shava (non-lethally). OMG. - Charm person! - OMG all of this… - Lenore instictively casts Charm Person to try and talk with the woman. - The woman says Lenore looks even prettier in person than she did in the image. - Lenore asks what image she's talking about. - Snow says she was hired to look for Shava specifically… and also, Lenore, as a side task. She's a hired tracker for these types of jobs. - Lenore heals Shava and helps her up, but Snow continues to grip Shava. Lenore manages to talk her out of Snow's grasp, then puts herself between Snow and Shava as they back down the hall. - Lenore and Shava continue a tense but friendly chat. - Snow suggests they just come with her to make it easier. Lenore says she left something upstairs, and if Snow was willing to wait, she and Shava would go retrieve it and be right back… Snow offers to come with… but somehow we talk ourselves out of being abducted. - We regroup and unpack all of this… talk in the hall. - Leo says we need to go short rest… - Astrid suggests the infirmary, to find Eadyan and talk with Vartan - The infirmary has Eadyan and Lucette, with a couple of lightly injured guards - Astrid ducks out %%to receive some mail %%and the party only notices after she's gone a few minutes. - Lenore looks for Vartan (looking "surprised"…), and Lucette says he's been gone all day. She was going to go looking for him. - Lenore ducks out to see if Astrid is okay. Astrid re-enters and notices Vartan isn't there - Leonard and Astrid both ask for healing from Eadyan - Leonard and Astrd both guage if Lenore looks worried… - She does… but they can tell she's not saying everything. - Leonard asks if it's okay to search for Vartan… (tracking) - He fails his survival check… but tries blindsight. - They head downstairs at the head of the stairs… - They hear voices. Those who speak draconic hear "steal the shinies and take the people! Don't kill the green one and the one with the glasses…" *(Shava… Lenore or Huxley?)* - Lenore creates an illusion of boxes at the head of the tunnel… - Snow is watching the group from above in an alcove, as though amused… - Snow mutters to herself… "Did someone else stab her?" - And… kobold fight, with Snow watching from above - Shava enlarges Leonard for the fight - Snow watches Lenore throughout the fight, unblinkingly - Astrid gets grappled and pummeled - Leo bites a kobold… - Astrid goes down, having been squished by two swolbolds… - Snow casts a spell and disappears… (aah!) - Lenore moves closer to the fight in order to heal Astrid. - (Snow gets a 25 for slight of hand… we have no idea what she does…) - (And does more… and we can't spot her…) - A kobold sorcerer and two kobold inventors show up… - Shava throws flour… and spreads it around while searcing for Snow. Lenore and Huxley get covered in it. - Shava continues to spread it around — so smart, Drawen! I love it. - More fighting. - She continues trying to perceive where Snow went… - And looks down and realizes someone has been in her bag, and has left her something! A white flower with a red ribbon - She hears a voice in her ear, whispering asking what she's looking for. When Lenore turns around quickly, she reaches out and feels someone and recoils. - Snow goes quiet, but messes with her bag again - Snow puts a map scroll with a location circled, just north of the city. - As the fight ends, Astrid and Leo both notice Lenore waving her arms around trying to feel for someone invisible and go to try and intercept Snow, but Snow has backed off. - Lenore takes out the map and looks at it. - It's a map of the Sword Coast, with an area to the north circled - Sounds of fighting grow louder upstairs. > [!info] Greater Thrall > Hayla can use her action to touch an incapacitated humanoid. That creature is then charmed as if under the same effects of Dominate Person with no duration, with her able to change their memories at will. This lasts until a Remove Curse spell is cast on them, the charmed condition is removed from them, or Hayla uses this feature again. > Hayla can communicate telepathically with the charmed creature as long as the two of them are on the same plane of existence.
