We rush upstairs. - We pass two dead guards, [[Jamie]] and [[Rushur]]. Dead dead, not spare the dying-able. - Continue on through a hall and there's 8 different kinds of kobolds, one has [[Pepi]]. [[Markguth]] is at the other end of the hall, in a rage, and [[Neilson]] is beside him. There are townsfolk in and amongst fighting. - Fight! - Shava casts Vortex Warp on [[Pepi]], and warps her back behind her. Lenore steps back and tries to pick up the baby while casting [[Spiritual Weapon]]… fails to pick up the squirming [[Pepi]] or hit the swobold… - (Snow shows up in the initiative, but is invisible) - A kobold sorcerer comes up and tries to grapple the baby, but Pepi resists. As always. - Huxley finally manages to grab Pepi, after Demu uses DM inspiration because we literally can't handle this kid. - Snow appears behind Neilson and attacks him with massive damage. He survives, but she just says "goodbye" and walks away down the hall. - The kobold sorcerer tries to charm Huxley but fails. They gets stabbed by Shava as they walks closer. - The swobold kills [[Neilson]]. - As we continue to fight, we hear [[Gruda Blessedblade]] yell "Who are you? Fuck off." And then Snow rolls attacks, so that does't sound great. "Alright, now you're fucked. Hey! Stop running!" - Markguth rushes over to Pepi to check and make sure she's okay. - He fears the worst about [[Marisa]] and [[Mark]]. Saw [[Pepi]] be grabbed and pursued. - We all start running out of the hall… painfully slow it feels like… - Snow stabs Gruda again. She winks at Shava, Leonard, and Astrid… dissolves into a snowy mist, and then takes off again… Gruda is a freaking tank. - Lenore turns the corner and Tolls the Dead against a winged kobold, killing it. Another one stabs her lightly. - Snow turns the corner and keeps running. - We run and keep following… And more kobolds. - Leo goes down, Astrid gets grappled. - Lenore goes over to Leonard, and closes her eyes… and heals Leonard, bringing him back up. - Very briefly, %%"so when he opens his eyes for a brief sec his eyes are diferent, like the pupil instead of a circle looks like the cat's one the sharp one"%% - Snow continues to do things we don't know. - Astrid protects Shava, and attacks the swobold… - Leonard gets stabbed again, and goes down again. - Lenore brings him back up, casts a toll the dead at the swobold, then starts walking down the hall. - (Snow is attacking around the corner with sneak attack and person is probably really dead)j - Lenore dashes alone further down the hall - She sees [[Blais]] on the ground, with [[Eric]] crying over top of him. [[Escobert the Red]] is also dead on the ground. - They run up, Lenore checks on Eric to see if he's hurt. He's crying over Blais. - Blais has no visible wounds othrer than a bruise/lump on the head, and is snoring. - By comparison, Escobert has big gaping wounds. - Eric faints. - We heard a noise from upstairs, and a shaking from the northwest. - Lenore listens to downstairs, and they all hear a voice speak in Draconic. - "Are we done yet?" "I'm growing bored of this. I have other things I could do. Your time grows short." - Everyone else goes upstairs, and Lenore peeks downstairs to see what's happening. - %%From DM: "Corpses of Kobolds mostly but not much else. They look damaged by radiant damage. There's a lot of corpses."%% - Upstairs, Snow is lounging on a chair on the roof. - Both Marisa and Eadyan are injured and bound, gagged, blindfolded on the ground on either side of her. - She beckons the party closer with one finger. - Snow brightens visibly when Lenore steps out, slightly behind the rest of the party since she checked downstairs. - She wants the box in exchange for the lives of Marisa and Eadyan. - It may be the same person who wants Shava and Lenore. Snow is (understandably) non-committal about discussing those who hire her - Astrid goes away to get the box. - Lenore specifically positions herself in front of Shava protectively as they stand and talk. - The "dragon man", [[Odonth Darkwrath|Odonth]], told her to get the box. She's not good with names. - Lenore offers to trade herself as a hostage for [[Eadyan Falconmoon]], but Snow doesn't go for it. - Snow recognizes that it wouldn't work since she needs a hostage she can harm… and doesn't want to harm Lenore. (Charm Person still active… it's only been 10 minutes… egads.) - Astrid returns holding the box. - Let one person go and then you can check it. Lenore asks for Eadyan, and she lets him go. Lenore removes his blindfold and begins untying his hands. - Snow jumps off the ledge and says she'll see Lenore soon… sorry about the bad business. - The dragon, [[Lennithon]] looks at them and snorts. - Astrid begins untying Marisa. - Dragon says in draconic "Hope you turn out more interesting" and flies away. - Lenore checks if Eadyan is okay… he had to use spells he doesn't like using, and she says they have to do what they need to do sometimes for the greater good. - She asks him where the rest of the townsfolk are, and he tells her they're locked in downstairs, with his brother [[Elandor Falconmoon]] protecting them - Lenore says she needs to go find her friend, ready to leave by herself, but stops and listens when they tell her to not go alone. The townsfolk are locked on the second floor.
