Astrid suggests they should stay and wait, as they need more information. - They discuss Ole Jack. They suspect he's a friend from Leonard's cultist days. - Astrid says Snow didn't appear hostile. - The Blackhands by the black tent begin to line up in formation. - [[Rezmir]], [[Frulam Mondath]] and [[Odonth Darkwrath]] walk out of the tent. Odonth stretches. - Rezmir and Odonth have tails; Blackhands do not. - Rezmir is in opulant purple robes, and a massive bejewelled great sword. - Frulam looks like a cleric, wearing splintmail, and a purple cloak. - She looks like a cleric with her shield… on the shield is a symbol of Tiamat. - [[Rezmir]], [[Frulam Mondath]] and [[Odonth Darkwrath]] head into the cave. - All of the cultists had quieted down when the group came out, but start talking again. - Astrid suggests they should get inside the tent. Shava suggests they should head into the cave. Astrid says the dragon lives inside the cave (Iair); Leonard had said so. - Shava says they need a distraction… and would prefer to go check out the tent. Astrid wants to wait forever, but Shava says now is the time since [[Rezmir]], [[Frulam Mondath]] and [[Odonth Darkwrath]] are out of the tent. - Astrid receives mail and reads it, and then puts it away. "There are more people from my Order missing. Whomever is talking to me didn't tell me who they are, or who is missing." - …Shava says she can summon demons as a distraction. Which. Is. Awesome. She looks for somewhere she can do so inconspicuously, and finds a place behind the kobold tents. - Shava summons lesser demons. Two maw demons appear. - Chaos. - But the blackhands stay in their positions… - As the fight continues, the [[Black Knight]] walks out of the cave. He bellows "What's going on here?" The knight is REALLY big. …like, 11-ft tall. - A black horse fades into existence in front of him, and he mounts it. - As the fight ends, he starts searching, knowing that someone has cast something and is searching for arcane magic. And then he walks away… into [[Hayla|Hayla's]] tent. ### Meanwhile, Snow and Lenore - Have you been with the cult long? - Whole life. Low ranking members. Other siblings. - Only met Hayla this year. - S: What hobbies d oyou like? - L: Reading. - S: Not good at it. My sister likes it. - S: Likes fashion. - Lenore offers to introduce her to Nephina. - Lenore admits she doesn't have friends. - Lenore asks about Hayla. Strong relationship? Kinda. - Hayla's advice works out differently than she expects. - When Snow first came, she wanted to prove she was capable and get the attention of the leaders. Hayla suggested she go do a thing, get rid of a person who was causing problems, Odonth would pay attention more. Turns out Odonth wanted to deal with them, when they died, Odonth puts them on the dangerous missions. - Person was a paladin. "Vor-torm?" Poisoned them. Ambushed them. ([[Vartan Silverbow|Vartan]]?) - Lenore compliments her appearance, says she could be in fashion. "Why do you wear a mask?" Keeps from breathing things in, and partly for style. The white hair is very distinctive. - Snow is 19 years old. Very low self esteem. - Was moved away from The White because she was the "worst" at what they do. It was who she was working for, the old leader ([[Talis]]) - Was given something to make sure she doesn't give away information ([[Geas]] spell) that would harm her if she did. - My PC has never heard of this spell but feels very sad for Snow. - L: Asks about why Hayla was looking for her. Looking forward to meeting me soon. - L: Maybe if I had a friend like you, people wouldn't hurt me. - S: Offers to return to the camp without her. - Lenore asks if she'd be in trouble. - Doesn't want to get her in trouble; agrees to go back if she looks out for her and helps her leave after. - Lenore puts her flower in Snow's hair, to encourage her to show the cult fashion. - They turn around and head back towards the camp, and Snow reads questions off her paper. - S: What don't you like? - L: Broccoli, weapons and fighting… - S: I don't like bad smells. My nose is really strong. - Can tell when she's really close to someone… Not good at tracking. - Lenore asks if Snow worships Tiamat. - S: No, not really into the worship. Can do magic, but only some, self-taught. - S: What do you do for fun? - L: I… don't… know. It's been a long time since I've done anything fun. - L: …read? I read. - S: I don't know how to read. - The words swim. - Snow talks about a Bard telling stories in Neverwinter. - Spent time in Neverwinter about five years ago. Had to travel past there, moving to a different spot. One of her sisters was there, but never got to see her. Lots of siblings are half siblings. A guess since she and Hayla don't really look the same. - As she sinks into herself going on about how great Hayla is, and Lenore starts asking cheerful questions as they start walking back… about the bard… [[Big Boggins]] ### Back to the party - [[Hayla]] and [[Black Knight]] walk out of the white tent. The black knight rides off while Hayla walks towards [[Azbara Jos]], who has walked out of the red tent. They both walk towards the black tent. - Snow and Lenore enter the camp, as the Black Knight rides by. Snow's eyes squint when she looks at the black knight and stops talking. - Snow asks her to move aside, doesn't really like the knight much. - The black knight looks towards Snow and Lenore - S: Do you think he heard me? - L: Does he have good hearing? - S: I don't know, but he's never acted on it before. - L: Maybe he doesn't recognize me… new face? - Meanwhile, Hayla walks towards Leosin and has her hand on the book. - The blackhands look more twitchy when Hayla is around. - Azbara Jos walks into the cave. - Snow and Lenore continue to walk and hide along the edges, walking behind the tents of the [[Dark Sail Pirates]] and [[Red Sun Mercenaries]]. - A swaggering drunken pirate walks towards us, having stolen a red cloak. "…ladies." He makes a pass at them, and Snow suggests he backs off. - Snow and Lenore walk towards the white tent - Hayla's face swivels straight towards Lenore, even as she faces Leosin. - Lenore sees this, and suggests they keep walking towards Hayla's tent - Astrid watches Hayla look directly towards Lenore. - Hayla raise her hand to her mouth and cast something, then walks away from Leosin. - Hayla approaches the white tent. Waves her hand, opens the flat, and invites Lenore inside. - Lenore takes a deep breath, and walks inside. (Conversation will be in private.) - The black knight returns to the cave. - The party start talking about what distraction they want to cause… like setting fire to tents. - Shava and Astrid devise a plan. Astrid will set fire to the red tents, and Shava will vortex warp her back. - There are three guard drakes and two guards… and Astrid plays with torches. (Arcane lit?) - Astrid begins juggling the torches and goes to "accidentally" light the big tent on fire. …and the small guard catches her, stops reading her book. "Are you some kind of discount jester?" - Astrid plays dumb and keeps setting fires from standing too close. - The guard puts out the fire… and the next fire… and the next fire… the guard is very patient. - Shava teleports her back inside their own tent. - The guard looks confused and looks around. - Huxley suggests he could try walking into the red tent - Leo rejoins the group and listens. - Astrid confronts Huxley for being both dead and alive. - …they decide to have Huxley go and resummon Fantoccio inside the black tent, and peer through his eyes. - The tent is 50 feet across. - Two separate bedrolls, ornate chest, chair, table with map, items and pins. Sides of tent have ornate symbols. A painting on the desk of a five-headed dragon (ornate, likely expensive). Carpet on the floor. - The form of Langdedrosa dressed in black armor, immediately spots Fantoccio when he appears in the room.
