## Notes
- We started this session having a player conversation with is a really healthy and important part of the game.
- We get to [[The Keep]] and take Langdedrosa down to the cells.
- Astrid hides the spear, and decide to ask [[Markguth]] to hide the armor
- We ask if [[Leonard Draushum]] can stand guard over [[Langdedrosa Cyanwrath]] (because Chiko is away this week)
- We knock on the door (locked) and [[Markguth]] unlocks and opens the door.
- We ask him to guard the armor.
- [[Leosin Erlanthar]] has already left.
- [[Tarbaw Nighthill]] is in private conversation with [[Order of the Radiant Hearts]] members.
- [[Eadyan Falconmoon]] is in the medical wing.
- The party heads down to find [[Eadyan Falconmoon]].
- One older balding farmer is chatting with Eadyan.
- He agrees to help investigate with Langdedrosa. As they head down, they explain what they know of his condition (the good from [[Hayla|Hayla's]] black book).
- Eadyan talks about dangerous items… books aren't uncommon for being magical items. Warlock ability? But this isn't typical… Not religious.
- A former powerful wizard long, long ago. A magic where they'd know if you spoke their name. The [[Whispered One]]. A historic creature. Abyssal? Unspeakable horrors.
- Demons aren't usually associated with books. A more powerful abberation, perhaps?
- Lenore asks about books warm to the touch.
- Places to research:
- [[Candlekeep]] to the west
- [[Baldur's Gate]] » pay someone with the right price
- [[Neverwinter]]
- [[Waterdeep]]
- [[Elturel]] is a rival city to [[Baldur's Gate]] and is more about markets and travelling merchants. Controlled by the [[Lord's Alliance]]. They may not have a lot in the way of books… more paladins and temples.
- [[Lord's Alliance]] » 14th century, partnership between merchant cities. Built up to oppose raiders, bandits, dangerous groups. Hate the [[Zhentarim]]. Their emblem is a golden crown in a field of red.
- Lots of temples, taverns, markets.
- Eadyan looks over Langdedrosa. (Huxley helps, and Lenore casts guidance.)
- It's too powerful for him to deal with. He's guessing it's a curse, or maybe greater restoration
- Diamond dust is hard to come across, maybe [[Elturel]] or [[Baldur's Gate]]
- Perhaps he's kept her, but sensory deprivation since someone can see through him. It's a cruelty though.
- Eadyan has seen [[Vartan Silverbow]]. Eadyan healed him, and then he left again. He had been in the medical bay.
- We head back towards [[Tarbaw Nighthill]] and wait for a while (short rest!) to talk with the [[Order of the Radiant Hearts]]
- [[Gideon]] » Blue-eyed. Ornate red tunic. Rubies and gold hilt on sword. Wears furs, looks regal and elegant.
- Accompanied by two guards in full-plate.
- [[Tarbaw Nighthill]] almost smiles when he sees us waiting. "Welcome back."
- Introduces the knight of the [[Order of the Radiant Hearts]] as [[Gideon]].
- Does our group have a name? Lenore: "We're just a **rat pack** of people coming together to help." » We are known now as the Rat Pack.
- He typically is around [[Neverwinter]].
- He's here hunting a lich, a [[Red Wizards of Thay|Red Wizard of Thay]] by the name of [[Theysian]].
- We talk about having seen [[Azbara Jos]] at the [[Cult camp outside of Greenest]].
- There are three more guards currently resting in the Keep.
- He will be staying in their own set of rooms with a red sash on the door, and would be happy to discuss further.
- [[Tarbaw Nighthill]] invites us in to discuss what we found out.
- We tell him we've retrieved [[Langdedrosa Cyanwrath]] and keep him up to speed.
- We mention that we say [[Leviathan]] overhead.
- They didn't destroy the farmland, they were only stealing valuables.
- If we are going towards [[Elturel]], can we bring a letter of warning to a noble (including [[Ontharr Frume]]). If we are going towards [[Baldur's Gate]], it may take longer even with a letter.
- We are allowed to keep using the horses to [[Elturel]].
- We are dismissed.
- Huxley has the ability to read his thoughts.
- Lenore asks if he's done that to the group, and he says no.
- Shava says that the blackmarches look like the ones chasing his friend [[Surina]]
- They're looking for [[Surina]], and Shava thinks they'd be looking for her to get to [[Surina]].
- Shava last saw [[Surina]] at [[Baldur's Gate]].
- Lenore offers to send her a message, and Shava uses performance of creation to draw a picture of Surina for her.
- Lenore reaches out with her mind and sends a message to Surina.
- "Hi, I'm friends with Shava, whom you gave special bagpipes. Where are you? Are you in danger? Where could we meet? We're going to [[Elturel]]."
- A brief pause, and then message in response. "Greetings. Currently I'm near the [[Sword Coast]] region, fairly close to [[Berdusk]] actually. You could likely find me there if you tried. Just play something."
- We split to go to our rooms for the night.
- Astrid comes to Lenore's room after some time.
- Lenore removes the chair from under the doorknob.
- Lenore invites her in. Astrid wants to ask her something.
- I had talked about Kassandra. When we talked with Leosin, I talked about prophecies and oracles. I seemed surprised he hadn't looked into that.
- She asks why I'm interested. The deaths of [[Patrin]] and [[Vyara]]. Why was she so important to kill for?
- We level up to [[Lenore Leveling Notes#Level 6|Level 6]].
