The tavern has a closed sign, but they're welcome in. - Vartan welcomes them back. - Lenore compliments Huxley's new clothes - Astrid wants to buy a trinket for her younger sister, [[Ingrid Dawngaze]], back in [[Loudwater]] - Her sister is 14, Astrid is 21 - Vartan gives us directions - [[Bellblade Throne]] is in one of the taller buildings in the area - Lenore gives Vartan a hug before we go - Astrid wants to split the party for shopping, and heads off by herself - Astrid heads off towards the shopping district, then switches back and heads back to the tavern, wanting to talk with Vartan. - [[Ghamul]] takes her back towards a living area. - [[Vartan Silverbow]] is wearing glasses and at a writing desk. - Astrid says she wants a private conversation. (So Niss has a DM 1-on-1.) - We ([[Lenore Sigyn|Lenore]], [[Faust Huxley]], [[Gomash]], [[Langdedrosa Cyanwrath]], [[Treya Oakhallow]]) go shopping. A clattering sound. The crowd disperses. One person is facing down a whole group. - [[Ryk]] - Bronze skin - Reddish-brown hair - Dark green cloak - Dark leather boats - Short bow over the shoulder - 5'-5" - They look confused but not stressed. - Surrounded by - [[Crunch]] - Looks dead, bugs crawling through it… - [[Monte de Bleu]] - White hair, red eyes, male - [[Noriak]] - Eyes are pure white and not blinking - [[60 Games/62 Campaigns/2022-09 Hoard of the Dragon Queen/05 NPCs/Athena]] - Looks calm - Ryk says they look like the person they're looking for… ([[Monte de Bleu]]?) - Athena points to Huxley and says to Monte that they look like him. - People start fleeing as guards approach, saying grab the guy in the lab coat… "It's the lone cloak devil!" - Huxley is rude towards [[Monte de Bleu]], and Monte tells them to kill them - Athena then shoots Lenore with a crossbow - Noriak shoots a scorching ray at Langdedrosa - Lenore misses Noriak with a toll the dead, and then goes invisible (without realizing it) and presses herself against the wall of the alley, thinking she's hiding. - While the fight continues (Monte and Athena disappear while around the corner…), Lenore stays invisible - An imp ([[Monte's imp]]) shows up next to Huxley and starts wailing on him - Lots of fighting. - [[Noriak]] and [[Crunch]] die in the fight - Ryk says they aren't the individuals the guard is looking for, as had heard stories of them from [[Greenest]] - Says it's a trick, someone was posing as [[Faust Huxley]]…? - The guards decide to question us at the guard's barracks… - Astrid and Huxley keep chatting… and Gomash is suspicious of "witches" (magic users) - Lenore chats with Ryk. - Ryk is originally from [[Cormyr]] - Had come through [[Greenest]] while looking our group, and Huxley was the most recognizable. - Thinks their group can help him find someone he's looking for… someone who knew her father
