## Starting notes:
- [[Andrew Pontious|apontious]] joked our circle name could be The Circle of the Twirling Tassels based on our first assignment locale…
- …and accidentally set the tone for the whole session
## Notes
- [[Calliope Nightshade]] suggests we are all here looking for jobs » gives the name Tracy Tassles
- [[Roberta "Birdie" Campbell|Birdie]] says she has experience working the bar (…the espresso bar!)
- Introduces herself as Candace Cashore, with the nickname "Candy"
- [[Eric Birtwistle]] pitches his medical prowess » gives his real name, thinking it's a plus (doesn't recognize the family name)
- [[Tarrin Bellweather]] pitches working security » gives their name as Tarrin… just Tarrin
- We go away…
- …Birdie lets Tarrin know that's *not* a liveable wage… this would technically be her first job
- We do additional research while we wait for the shift to start
- Birdie goes to [[The Fighting Cock]], the seedy bar next door
- The woman running the bar is in her early 20s
- Birdie tries to ask for any juicy stories about the [[Twilight Theatre]] (Sway: 1)
- Not much help! I stand out too much.
- Some women walk in who look more like they belong at [[The Fighting Cock]]
- They give her money and she refills their flasks (from the good cabinet)
- These are women who work at the [[Twilight Theatre]]
- Seeing them up close, tiredness and aging; but on stage, maintain sex appeal
- Birdie follows them into the [[Twilight Theatre]] through the staff door
- …to be continued
- [[Calliope Nightshade]] talks to a [[Periphery]] buddy (a former daliance…), [[John Lyons]] at the precinct
- Chasing up a lead at people disappearing at the [[Twilight Theatre]]
- A family member of someone who went missing came in today…
- [[Anise Trilby]] is (was?) a dancer at the [[Twilight Theatre]]
- [[Periphery]] had interviewed [[Hugo Garcia]] but nothing seemed out of the ordinary
- John Lyons gives her the father's address to follow up (in [[Silverslip]], upper middleclass family)
- John suspects it is just family squabbles (they were controlling, and she was acting out or ran away)
- No other records of disappearances linked to the theatre (but likely under-reported)
- Does have record, three weeks prior, a commotion at the [[Twilight Theatre]] after one of the performances
- Someone ranting and raving about seeing weird things
- Periphery presumed this person to be drunk or crazy
- Wouldn't give their name
- [[Eric Birtwistle]] and [[Tarrin Bellweather]] scope out the location and look for gear as prep for the evening
- [[Twilight Theatre]] details
- Front entrance, [[Hugo Garcia|Hugo's]] office, bar
- Theatre, seats
- Two dressing rooms backstage
- Three luxury boxes on the second floor
- Backstage door (about as much security at the front door)
- Birdie, before the show…
- [[Lulu Green]] is a dancer and also runs the bar
- Rushes through orientation
- Most just buy the cheap beer
- Plan to water down the drinks…
- Prices are "gouge the locals" high, not "tourist" high
- Jake was the last bartender; left because he quit (2 months ago)
- People come and go… but a lot of lifers
- She's been here 5 years, which is considered long
- Storage room by ladies dressing room
- [[Hugo Garcia]] has the key
- Birdie talks to [[Hugo Garcia]]
- Gets her way into the storage room, offering to help water down the gin
- Hugo is *very* much in control of the place; micromanages
- She's not able to see into the storage room
- He puts the key in his pocket
- Birdie is keeping an eye on Hugo Garcia; Hugo is now keeping an eye on Birdie… but this keeps his attention off of others
- [[Calliope Nightshade]] preps for the evening » handgun in the garter belt type deal…
- Is introduced to [[Trishy Lu]], the leader
- Is now known by others as "Gizmo"
- Asks about "the previous girl", to not make the same mistakes
- Trishy has a brief pause before responding… ([[Anise Trilby]])
- Seems to respond in past tense… "She had a future…"
- [[Eric Birtwistle]] basically gets psyched up for the performance…
- This is apparently the most *exciting* night of his life…
- He does get a drink at the bar that Birdie is tending (but no freebies!)
- Basically, staff hear he's a doctor and he spends a lot of time looking at rashes…
- But a chance to get to know some of the people, including a young male performer
- [[Tarrin Bellweather]] is "security" here, but makes up what "security" is here
- Starts next to the ticket admission booth
- Helps Birdie keep people from sneaking the stock…
- Keeps an eye on what's going on…
- The lights go down and the show starts up
- An opening number with a big chorus line
- Vaudeville, basically, with sexy acts interspersed
- Hecklers in the audience
- As the acts continue, it gets more risqué…
- Tarrin takes out their bleed detector to see if anything is off…
- There's a sense of an effect pulling people in through the performance
- (I had to leave since the session ran late.)
